2023: Ada Ogbu Harps On Electing Visionary Leaders, As Catholic Foundation Holds Annual Conference In Enugu

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Princess Ada Ogbu, was among the special guests at the 2022 conference of the Catholic Institute For Development, Justice and Peace (CIDJAP), Enugu.

The leadership conference took place at Ofu-Obi Africa Centre, Independence Layout, with the theme: “PREPARING THE YOUTHS FOR LEADERSHIP POSITIONS IN NIGERIA”. At the Conference, issues like, “Youths Inclusion In Nigeria’s Politics, Involvement In Economic And Financial Crimes; Prospects For Nigerian Emerging Youths, Contribution of The Nigeria Correctional Facility To The Nigerian Youths, The Changing Faces Of Nigerian Politics; A Youth Prospective Enforcing The “NOT TOO YOUNG TO RUN” In Nigerian Politics” were treated.

The Amazon, while lending her voice to the business of the day, informed the audience of her zeal to be a partner in the New Nigeria which triggered her aspiration to represent the people of Enugu East Senatorial Zone.

In her speech, Ada Ogbu harped on the need for the youths, and everyone to get involved in the electioneering process of electing representatives, thus the need for every one to be engaged in politicking.

She further spoke about the process of taking the decision to change the status quo, joining a political party, supporting a candidate who represents the value you desire, and getting them accountable.

Moreso, she emphasized on the need for electing responsible leaders, and reiterated that responsible leadership, as, according to her, this breeds responsible followership and the electorates should at any point checkmate and hold their leaders accountable.

“If the followers are complacent, the leaders will be complacent too. If the followers elect a mediocre as a leader, the leader will certainly offer mediocrity. The actual time for the people to rise and say no to the recycling of inefficient and ineffective leaders is now. Let us take the stand, with our PVC let us vote out these leaders without vision, elect and enthrone credible leaders”.

In same mannner, the people’s Princess Ada Ogbu, stated her strategic plans in her pursuit to represent the people of Enugu East Senatorial Zone, and reassured them of an Inclusive, inward representation, maintaining that in the New Nigeria, partisan politics should be jettisoned, and competence, and credibility should be the standard.
