2023: Ikechi Emenike emerges APC flagbearer for Abia state governorship polls

One of the leaders of the Abia State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), High Chief Ikechi Emenike has emerged winner in the party’s primary elections held today in Umuahia.

Voting started in the morning delegates numbering 920 drawn from all the 184 wards.

Although one of the aspirants participating in the primary poll, Dr Alex Otti pulled out yesterday, seven results were published by the party.

Those who participated in the primaries include Ikechi Emenike, Emeka Atuma, Uche Ogah, Obinna Oriaku, Daniel Eke and Paul Ikonne.

Below is a rundown of the results as was signed by Chief Tonie Obiefuna, Abia APC Governorship committe chairman:

  2. Alex Otti 14
  3. Obinna oriako 12
  4. Paul ikonne 22
  5. Ikechi Emenike 672
  6. Dan Ekeh 16
