A former governor of Lagos State and Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu who is gunning for the 2023 presidential election has been advised to perish the idea of becoming Nigeria’s president.

Human rights defender, Chief Patrick Eholor who said this at the weekend, stated that Tinubu has a lot of records speaking against him to desire becoming president.

Eholor who stated this in an online interview with JungleJournalist.Com, condemned the roles Tinubu played in the Endsars imbroglio, arguing that the former governor’s refusal to condemn the shooting of unarmed youths is a big testimony against him. He also accused him of aggrandising himself over Lagos, to make his family rich, and in total control of the wealth and affairs of Lagos.

His words “Tinubu has never condemned the act of the killing of protesters at the Lekki Toll gate, which by the way, we heard belongs to him. Instead, he has demonstrated too much body language to show that he does not care.

“He has also taken over the whole of Lagos and most of the taxable facilities are under his control or his family control. Now he wants to be president of Nigeria.

“Tinubu’s wife is in the senate, his daughter as the Iyaloja of Lagos, controls all markets in Lagos State.
His company is in charge of tax collection from states and ministries across the country. Advertising and tax collection in Lagos are under his purview, while all the burial grounds belong to him.

“Almost all machinery of government in the country, Tinubu has a hand in them. Right now, while he seeks to be president, his son is aspiring to be governor of the State.

“The same Tinubu is already almost as old as Buhari and is not in the best of health. Is this the man who wants to be our president? So, what Nigerians are out to do now is to continue voting for aged men to be our presidents, while young men and women keep roaming the streets with no job and no hope of eking a living for themselves?

“It is his right to be president, but he should just look for one young man or woman to sponsor to be president. If he truly loves Nigeria and believes in it, Tinubu should stop trying to put the country in his pocket.

“Lastly, it’s time for him to stop claiming that he is the Jagaban. If truly he is the Jagaban, let him drop his police and security guards, and walk the streets of Lagos, and the streets of Nigeria. Let him prove that he is truly the Jagaban.

“Tinubu, you should stop trying be president of Nigeria and support younger people, so that posterity may be kind to him,”, Eholor said.
