Activists call for release of human rights leader, Osazee Edigin arrested on orders of high court judge

The Edo State human rights community has raised its voice to call for the release of one of its leaders, Leftist Osaze Edigin.

According to information made available to Jungle-Journalist.Com, Edigin was arrested on the orders of a High Court judge in Edo State, Mrs. Geraldin Madeg Bello for making a publication on the social media.

The publication was an alleged flaunting of traffic laws in the state by the Chief Judge, which probably irked her to order for his arrest.

Jungle-Journalist.Com came across one of the several notices by activists, including Edo State Civil Society Organizations (EDOCSO), where Edigin had served as Executive Secretary.

Some of the calls include ones by founder of One Love Foundation, Chief Dr Patrick Osagie Eholor, Nowinta Igbotako, and Leftist Omobude Left Agho.

What did he do?

Osaze Edigin published an article that Mrs. Geraldin Madeg Bello, a High Court Judge, flaunted traffic law in Edo State; then she did a petition against him and got him arrested.

Surely, Mrs. Geraldin Madeg Bello is not the law nor above the law of the land?

Is this how to interpret the law in Nigeria?

We demand that Leftist Osaze Edigin is released unconditional now!

His fundamental human rights is being trampled upon recklessly, ruthlessly and maliciously.

Release Osaze Edigin now!!!
