Princess Ada Ogbu, APC candidate for Enugu East Senatorial district has paid a condolence visit to the family of the slain Labour Party candidate for Senate, late Barrister Oyibo Chukwu.
Ada Ogbu as she is fondly called, during her visit, sat with Mrs Chukwu and comforted her for the great loss.
She also signed the Condolence Register.
The senatorial hopeful in an earlier message, had described late Oyibo Chukwu as ‘a worthy opponent’.
Consoling the family, she had also said “I am wishing you peace, and courage in this unimaginably difficult moment. My heart goes out to you, I pray our God comforts you.
She had also called on the government and security to intensify efforts to protect the lives of citizens “Violence is never the answer. I call on the Federal Government and the Enugu State Government to intensify their efforts in ensuring our right to free and fair elections in Enugu State and across the South East ahead of these elections.
“There is no justification for harm or the loss of life”, Ada Ogbu stated.
