BREAKING: Ada Ogbu Speaks To Enugu East Electorate On Election Postponement

Frontline Senatorial Candidate for the Enugu East Senatorial election, Princess Ada Ogbu has called on the electorate to be calm, and not panic, following the election postponement.

Recall that INEC this evening, moved the election date to March 11, following the murder of another contestant, Barrister Oyibo Chukwu.

Addressing the electorates of Enugu East Senatorial district Ada Ogbu assured them that there is nothing to worry about, and asked them to tarry until the new date.

She wrote “Ndi Nkem,

Good evening. I had hoped this would be the eve of a historic victory in our constituency.

Unfortunately, we lost a worthy opponent in Barrister Oyibo Chukwu of the Labour Party.

And as such, as mandated by the Electoral Act, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has postponed our Senatorial election.

I am here to say I truly welcome the decision as it means we are following the law.

Delay, however, is not denial. As you turn out tomorrow, remember also that anyi ka na bia.

Ada Ogbu Nara is still going to Abuja. We all are. But we do not vote tomorrow.

March 11th is our new finish line. And so we stay running.

Princess Ada Ogbu.”
