BREAKING: Peter Obi, Alex Otti to run for President, Governor on Labour Party ticket

Ahead of the 2023 elections, Former Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi has officially joined Labour Party to pursue his Presidential ambition in 2023.

Obi, a former presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP who dumped the party on Wednesday, pitched tent with Labour party on Friday.

The national chairman of Labour Party, Barr. Julius Abure said LP will surprise Nigerians in a few weeks time because of the bigwigs that would join it.

He added that Labour Party under his watch would not impose candidates but provide a level playing field for all the aspirants, adding that the party has all it takes to defeat the APC and PDP in 2023 elections.

Peter Obi resigned from the PDP on Tuesday citing “recent developments within our party that make it practically impossible to continue participating and making such constructive contributions”.

Obi’s resignation was contained in a letter dated May 24, 2022 and addressed to the party’s National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, titled “Resignation from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and withdrawal from the Presidential Contest.”

Meanwhile, Jungle-Journalist.Com has also learnt that Dr Alex Otti, who left All Progressives Congress (APC) two days ago has joined Labour Party in the state.

Otti, it was gathered, will be bearing the party’s ticket at the governorship polls.
