BREAKING: Professor Victor Uwaifo,(Guitar Boy) Joins His Ancestors

Legendary music icon, Sir Victor Efosa Uwaifo, is dead.

He reportedly died on Saturday, of a yet to be disclosed ailment.

Son of the Guiter Boy exponent, Peter Uwaifo, broke the news on his Facebook page.

He however did not give much detail about the cause of his father’s death.

“Daddy why. Did you leave us now
Prof. Sir Victor UWAIFO has gone to rest. Black Saturday for me nooow.

“One week now after collaborating with me,” he wrote.

Sir Victor Uwaifo, popularly known as the Guitar Boy, was one of the one of the founding fathers of high life music in Edo State and Nigeria.

The legendary was a Professor of Music and Art in the University of Benin.

One of the hit tracks that brought him to limelight was ‘If You See Mammy Water O’.
