President Muhammadu Buhari is set to commission the refurbished State House Clinic, Abuja which according to sources at the Presidency cost the Federal Government a whopping N21 billion. He will perform the ceremony upon his return from the United Kingdom.

This was revealed in Abuja as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr. Boss Mustapha inaugurated four new projects within the State House Clinic.

The four inaugurated projects include, a biosafety Level 2 Molecular Laboratory, certified by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, and a medium capacity incinerator donated by the Office of the SGF, Dental Wing Extension Building, and Staff Quarters

Speaking at the inauguration of the projects, the SGF noted that the projects will help the State House Clinic to be people-centred and technology driven to function as a world class health facility with motivated staff.

While commending the Permanent Secretary of the State House, Tijjani Umar who supervised and ensured that the State House Clinic was revived, the SGF stated that the revival of the clinic was part of the intentional determination of the Buhari administration to create lasting infrastructural facilities in the country.

‘‘This building’s unique importance lies in the bold statement about the current administration’s commitment to excellence and ensuring that facilities in the State House Clinic are comparable to the best around the world,’’ the SGF said.
