#EndSARS: ECOWAS Court set to hear Patrick Eholor/DJ Switch’s case on Lekki Toll Gate killings

The last has not been heard of the Lagos State #EndSARS Panel report and different allegations against the security agencies on Lekki Tollgate killings of innocent protesters by the then indicted Nigerian Army and Nigerian Police personnel, and other state actors.

In that vein, the ECOWAS Court has slated for hearing the case filed by Chief Dr Patrick Eholor against the FG in suit number with details as ECW/CCJ/APP/71/21 Patrick Eholor v. Federal Republic of Nigeria which is now fixed for hearing on the 8th May 2023.

The ECOWAS Court has served on the Federal Republic of Nigeria a hearing notice for 8th May 2023 in the suit filed by Patrick Eholor against the Federal Government, seeking reparation in billions of Dollars and Naira for everyone killed by the Nigerian security agencies and as clearly stated in #EndSARS Lekki Toll Gate report in the now defunct and disbanded Lagos State #EndSARS Panel on Lekki Tollgate killings.

Chief Patrick Eholor in his reaction said: “If the FG and Lagos State Government thinks #EndSARS Panel report will be discarded and thrown to the dustbin, they better have a rethink in this regard, as this case is germane and very fundamental as a right step in getting reparation for victims of the Lekki Toll Gate killings.

Meanwhile also the FG has filed a motion for consolidation of this suit, seeking to consolidate with that filed by popular and famous DJ Switch against the FG also. Reacting Patrick Eholor’s lead counsel, Samuel Ihensekhien Esq, stated that on behalf of Chief Patrick Eholor, and One Love Foundation and other persons associated with the killings, that they are ready to pursue this case to it’s logical conclusion and that their prosecution of this case, has been boosted by the presence in their legal team of fiery young human rights lawyer in Festus Ogun, who has joined the claimants legal team in prosecuting this case.
