#ENDSARS MEMORIAL: Patriot Eholor calls on Nigerians to join peaceful protest to remember victims

President of One Love Foundation, and foremost human rights activist, Patriot Patrick Eholor has invited all Nigerians to be part of the #ENDSARS memorial ceremony billed to take place tomorrow, 20th October across the country.

To this end, Eholor is calling on Nigerians to come out enmasse and join the protests in the different cities of the country to remind the Nigerian government that it is against the constitution to harass, arrest or shoot peaceful protesters, as the right to protest is enshrined in the Nigerian Constitution.

In a video posted on the Facebook page of One Love Foundation, Eholor recapped the pains and trauma of Nigerians who died or lost loved ones, as well as those who have been jailed or lost their goods. He therefore said that Nigerians must rise up once again and let the government know that its their right to exercise the freedom to protest.

His words “Am using this opportunity to call on the families, friends and well wishers if victims to come out on the 20th of October to remind Nigerians that protest is our right.

“It is enshrined in our constitution that the government must protect lives and property and they have failed to do this. I sympathize with those whose shops and businesses were burnt and looted. They also shiujd join this protest. I am sure that as of for now, they have not been compensated.

“We saw what happened recently in Kogi State, where a rifle-wielding police man dehumanised Nigerians. Weac are saying, Enough is enough. You are using our money to fight us, we bought the rifle and the bullets because we are tax payers, and you use it to fight us.

“We police the police, so on the 20th, I am asking every Nigerian who believe in freedom, who believe in the expression of human rights to come out and denounce what happened to fellow citizens at Lekki toll gate.”
