Leading human rights activist and Global President of One Love Foundation, Chief Patrick Osagie Eholor has petitioned DCP Saheed, commander of the Lagos State RRS squad for assault and violations on his person.
Eholor’s petition also borders on clamping down on him for granting a press interview at the Lekki Toll Gate at the #endSARS memorial anniversary of 20th October 2021.
In a detailed petition written by the legal representative of One Love Foundation, Samuel Ihensekhien Jnr, addressed to both the IGP and the Police Service Commission, he sought for reparation in monetary damages and prompt dismissal and prosecution of all police officers who violated and assaulted him on 20th October 2021.
Calls put across to Ihensekhien Samuel Jnr confirmed that a formal petition has been lodged with IGP and that a case has been instituted at the ECOWAS Court regarding the violation of human rights and clamping down of Chief Patrick Eholor by RRS officers of Lagos State and others.
