ENUGU 2023: I will Create Industries for Youth Employment —Uche Nnaji

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu state, Chief Uche Nnaji says he will create industries that will have a direct bearing on the lives of the people in order to tackle youth unemployment in the state.

Nnaji stated this while speaking at the Enugu Business Community Meeting candidates at ECCIMA House, on Friday.

The Governorship candidate who lamented that the state is being faced with 43% unemployment rate attributed the high rate to the lack of industries in the state.

He said “ we currently have about 43% unemployment rate in Enugu because there are no industries to engage the people, especially the youth.

“We also have 21% underemployment in the state which are professionals engaged in menial jobs that do not fit their profession and we are ready to tackle unemployment and under-employment problems if elected in 2023.

Uche Nnaji who boasted to be the only businessman among the governorship candidates in the states that grows his business from scratch to where he is today said “I am building over N6b industry in my village as parts of my efforts to provide jobs for my people and we are ready to do more because Enugu will experience massive structural transformation,” he said

He also promised to tackle the multiple taxation in the state saying “multiple taxation going on in Enugu state must stop if we form government in 2023.

Uche who also boasted that APC we win the election in 2023 in Enugu state said “we are well prepared to run for this position because things are not right in this state and we are ready to transform the state.

“APC has never won a governorship election in Enugu because the party was in somebody’s pocket but the new reform APC will go for election and win in 2023.

“We have toured all the 400 communities where 400 churches received and anointed us. Our experience during the tour will guide us when we get to the government house because I know the problem of our people and am ready to tackle it,” he said

“Organized private sector is going to be our major partner in this rescue mission in Enugu because Enugu state must be rescued,” he said
