Enugu Barber Needs ₦150,000 To Get Wife Out Of Hospital

A barber of about forty-years old from Amagunze, Nkanu East local government area of Enugu State, Mr. Sunday Ede, is appealing to the general public, good spirited individuals to come to his aid so that his wife will be released from hospital.

Ede, a barber at Gariki Market, Afor Awkunanaw, Enugu told our reporter that he has exhausted all he had to offset the hospital bill to no avail but the hospital, Unity Hospital, Ngwo insisted that they must pay to the last Kobo before his wife, Chinasa Ede will return home.

According to Ede, his wife, Chinasa was admitted to the hospital about three weeks ago to undergo umblical cord hernia, pointing out that the operation was successful but that he could not pay the bill of N550,000.00 they were charged.

He said that he and his relatives were able to pay N400,000.00 out of the N550,000,00 but the hospital management is insisting that unless they offset the bill, the wife will remain there.

“I need help from anywhere. I have spent every penny in my account. My brothers and even my in-laws have all contributed their quota and we were able to raise N400,000.

“I don’t know what else to do. Anywhere help will come now I’ll appreciate. I don’t want my wife to do the Christmas in the hospital,” Ede cries out.

His main worry is that they have been discharged but cannot go home because of the remaining balance of N150,000.00.

He lamented that two of his children are staying with her in the hospital whereas others are in the house with him.

“I am suffering too much. I shuttle between Enugu and Ngwo almost everyday. Two of my children are with her while others are with me.

“We have been discharged. Others who were admitted at the same time with my wife and even those that came after her have been discharged and went home but my wife is still there. This is a shame to me.”

Asked if he has appealed to his church, Deeper Life or to the government but he said no.

He therefore gave out a United Bank of Africa, UBA account No. 2054079803 where anybody touch with his plight can pay into.
