ENUGU: ESiRS chairman Emmanuel Nnamani loses father 

Enugu State Internal Revenue Service (ESiRS) Chairman, Emmanuel Ekene Nnamani has lost his father, Chief Livinus Ogbu Nnamani who died on February, 5, 2024.

 

In a statement issued by the ESIRS boss on behalf of the family, it stated that Chief Nnamani died in Enugu after brief illness as the burial arrangement has been fixed for March 22, 2024 at his compound, Nduvu, Eziama Amechi Idodo by 7pm for a wake while the lying-in -state and interment hold on Saturday, March 23, 2024.

 

Chief Livinus Ogbunwochu Nnamani popularly known as Ogwuazu was born in 1948 into the family of Ojiabo Nnamani of the enlarged Umunnamani Nwevu family. He was named after his maternal grandfather, Ogbunwochu of Umuogbuokom in Obunegu Village. He was the last male child of Ojiabo Nnamani.

 

The chairman describes his late father as a grassroot politician. According to him, at the inception of this democratic rule, late Nnamani was the Chairman of Amechi Idodo/Oruku ward under APP. He won all elections under his leadership. His doggedness in the political campaign ensured that APP won the Chairmanship of Nkanu East LG with the Late Hon. Lazarus Nnaji as the chairman and Fred Ajaegbu as the succeeding councilor of Amechi Idodo/Oruku ward in 1999.

 

He was a Stakeholder in Nkanu East Local Government for many years due to this role
