ENUGU LG POLLS: I’ll find thriving markets for our Aninri farm produce – APGA candidate, Jude Ogbonna

The Aninri Chairmanship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Comrade Jude Ogbonna has promised to provide thriving markets for the people of Aninri to sell their farm produces.

He said this while addressing coalitions of women co-operative societies in Oduma ward 4.

Ogbonna, who adopted the popular Oduma dialect, said his commitment is to the people of Aninri.

His words; “Very soon, the planting season will come. You know, our people are energetic and strong.

“But our farmers keep coming to square one each year, getting poorer by the day. That’s bad.

“When you sell a basin of okro at N200 what is the hope? That’s too bad. I know how to plant okro; the process is long. The cost is just too high.

“Its exploitation of our people when they’re forced to sell at ridiculously cheap prices.

“The basic function of the Local Government is to be close and to listen to you always.

“How could we respond to the mechanics of demand and supply? What are the makeup of various trade unions which make our farm produces cheap? Can we find markets for selling our farm produces like they’re doing in Anambra?

“These questions and more are the central to restoring our status as the “food basket of Enugu State”. But unfortunately, what we have seen leading Aninri are fools, idiots who don’t even understand the simplest rudiments of leadership.

“Bennett Aja cannot make Aninri great. He doesn’t stand a chance. Educationally he is not sound. Enough of dummies leading us, the smart people of Aninri. I’m the answer to all the problems of our great farmers.

Comrade Ogbonna, an English Language degree holder from Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka, has prided himself as a worthy elitist who was trained by the best hands.
