Enugu suporters of Mr Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate thronged out this morning to stage a 2 million man march in his support.
The men, women and youths who gathered very early at Michael Okpara Square in the city centre, began their long walk across the city, chanting support songs while playing musical instruments and dancing.
They bore banners, and were colorfully dressed for the occasion.
Business activities were paralysed as a result as excited residents left their businesses to join the fray.
Some residents, who were not part of the crowd at the inception, abandoned their activities to join the crowd chanting “Obi is our next president”.
The rally was very peaceful as the excited participants conducted themselves in an orderly manner.
