Enugu State Police Command has arrested three male suspects and recovered four locally fabricated firearms, including an imitation pistol and a live cartridge, in separate intelligence-led operations across the state.

On 6th September, Anti-Cultism operatives, working with Neighbourhood Watch, raided a hideout in Ameke Ngwo, Udi LGA, seizing a triple-barrelled and single-barrelled pistol from fleeing suspects.

Earlier, on 5th September, Peter Kalu, 26, was arrested by Abakpa Division during a night patrol, with a locally made imitation pistol recovered from him.

On 3rd September, Ugwu Collins, 23, linked to the Black Axe Confraternity, was rescued from an angry mob in Umabor; a double-barrelled pistol loaded with live ammunition was recovered.

CP Mamman Bitrus Giwa commended the operatives and urged residents to remain vigilant and support police efforts to curb crime.
