HRM Eze Eberechukwu Oji has enumerated the several benefits that are drivable from peace and unity by a community.
Eze Eberechukwu Oji was speaking at his maiden meeting with Ndi Ezeogo Arochukwu Kingdom (heads of the various village in Aro).
Addressing the gathering up of 15 of 19 Ezeogos of Arochukwu Kingdom, the Eze Aro spoke about the importance of threading the path peace and unity, eschewing hatred strife, factors that has ravaged Arochukwu with years of backwardness.
He lamented that Arochukwu have lost substance in the contemporary scheme of things at the level of state, national and international world affairs.
Eze Oji made a pledge to restore Arochukwu Kingdom to its original glory, recalling the reign of his grandfather, legendary Eze Kanu Oji, and declared that, “The kingdom must move forward and God helping us, we’ll get there”.
He called on Ndi Ezeogo to make genuine contributions and input towards the development and unity of the kingdom, assuring that he would bring all Umu Aro together, irrespective of their divergent interests and views on Aro issues.
Eze Oji promised to hold regular meetings with Ndi Ezeogo and Presidents General of the various villages of Arochukwu Kingdom.
In their responses, Ndi Ezeogo formally congratulated Eze Eberechukwu Oji on his ascension to the reverred throne of Arochukwu Kingdom.
They also thanked him for initiating the meeting, pledging absolute loyalty to the throne of Arochukwu Kingdom.
In his own contribution, President General of Nzuko Arochukwu (Worldwide) who was also present, Mazi Nnadozie Udensi expressed gratitude to God Almighty that, with the impressive turn out of the villages in the meeting, Arochukwu Kingdom will witness brighter and greater days ahead.
The PG urged Umu Aro to pay the desired respect and honour to the Eze Aro, pointing out that the occupant of the throne is the symbol of Arochukwu Kingdom and must be respected at all times.
Resolution was made that Ndi Ezeogo and all PGs would be holding regular meetings to address the welfare of Arochukwu in particular, as well as the Ndi Ezeogo, among other things.
