GABON COUP: Unfortunately, Military Rule Have Been Far Better Than All Democracies In Nigeria

Written by Chief Dr Patrick Osagie Eholor

Some people attacked me when I first said that African politicians are making military rule attractive to Africans, due to bad governance.

I am not a prophet of doom, but everything I have said is coming to pass. If you have a wife, you respect your wife, you take care of her, you pay your children’s school fees, you are a responsible husband and your wife will not leave you, she will worship you.

Women need to be respected, they adore you because women needs to be respected, they are adorable people. I am using this as an analysis, to tell people who are saying why the coup in Africa.

The latest coup in Gabon is about a family who has been holding that country for 53 years. When the white man left us, they transferred power to their stooges.

They want to continue their new imperialism, their enslavemt by selecting a few people who pay allegiance to them. As we speak, countries formerly colonised by France still pay taxes to France. The French government still determine how they spend their money. They think they are free but they are still in shackles.

This is why it is good that the military rebelled and said, enough is enough. If democracy is not working, then why not use the military to restabilize our country, and think very critically if we still want to practice this demonstration of crase, according to Fela Anikulapo Kuti. I am not a fan of the military, but I can beat my chest to tell anybody that the military in any of these African countries, especially my own country have done us far more good than the politicians.

Abacha saved us a lot of money. The west and the media have turned against him with the propaganda that he looted all we had. Abacha was actually saving us a lot of money.

We have a lot of foreign reserves that have now been depleted by these politicians, thieves, who have not done anything good for us. Babangida built the 3rd mainland bridge for us, the University teaching hospitals were built by the military, the best infrastructure that we have ever had and still have now were all built by the military. NITEL, NNPC, and the best companies that sustained Nigeria before politicians came were all built by the military. Nobody dared steal money, or siphoned any money. There were no militants in Niger Delta, kidnaping or robbery was not rampant.

Drug peddling was not rampant. I remember Tunde Idiagbon and Buhari back then. They executed drug peddlers, yahoo was not viral, unemployment wasn’t like this. Prostitution was not so high.

Can anybody tell us what we have benefited from this demonstration of madness imposed by the west? Most importantly, toppling of government by buying of votes, by rigging of election is worse than a coup de tat. Nothing can be dangerous than people in the disguise of democracy robbing us of our own duty and responsibility.

Last last my brothers and sisters, this democracy is not favouring African countries at all at all at all!! The Nigeria Military built our refineries, roads and bridges, but these nuisances of politicians destroyed all these.

Democracy is not our culture at all, but benevolent dictatorship is the answer. Check out Rwanda led Gen. Kagame, Nigeria led Murtala Mohammed, Burkina-Faso led Thomas Sankara, Muamar Gadaffi led Libya and Egypt of today!

This democracy is certainly not working for us, and I’m beginning to see that, democracy is being used by these Westerners to manipulate Africa and to continue in their neocolonialism of African countries. I’m not suggesting the military is better. I am only saying we should look into it properly, you can’t have a senate president in this difficult time who arrogantly say members account has been credited when there are unable to pay palliatives of ₦8000 naira to the citizens, democracy where men has become institutions.

I am Chief Dr. Patrick Osagie Eholor.
