Gov Obaseki reacts as Iyare Motors owner, Abel Omoruyi joins his ancestors 

 

 

Abel Omoruyi, the owner of a popular transport company, Iyare Motors, with headquarters in Benin, is dead.

 

Omoruyi, popularly known as 007, died on Friday night at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital after a brief illness.

 

Meanwhile, the Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, has reacted to Omoruyi’s death.

 

In a statement on Saturday, Obaseki said the businessman was a rallying point for transforming Nigeria’s transportation industry.

 

Accordingly, Obaseki noted that Omoruyi remained a shining example for future generations.

 

In 2014, the wife and daughter of the businessman were abducted by gunmen.
