JUST IN: LP Factional Leader, Lamidi Apapa Mobbed Out Of Court Room By Obidients, Dragged Out Of Court Premises

 

The factional leader of the Labour Party, Lamidi Apapa, was on Wednesday mobbed out of the Court in Abuja, the venue for the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal. 

 

According to reports, Apapa arrived the court and attempted to claim leadership of the party, hence its representative in the court.

 

The self acclaimed leader of Labour party, who went to the presidential election petition tribunal to claim leadership of the party was sent out of the Court by the Obidient family.

 

Outside the court room, members was screaming, ‘Ole’ (loosely translated as a thief), ‘Imposter’ etc., as Apapa’s supporters led him away from them.

 

This was as the party factions clashed and tried to attack Apapa, who was barricaded by the police.

 

The drama happened shortly after the opposing faction in the LP leadership crisis resisted journalists who tried to interview Apapa.

 

It was reported that there was a disagreement between two factions of the party before the court resumed proceedings at the tribunal.

 

Meanwhile, Mr Peter Obi & LP’s legal team were in court, alongside

Labour Party Chairman, Barr Julius Abure.
