Le Patriot Country Home Hotel, Benin finally takes off in grand style

The creme de la creme of the society in Benin City, the Edo State capital, witnessed the Grand Opening of the Le Patriot Country Home Hotel on Saturday night amidst pomp and pageantry.

There were choice drinks, sumptuous cuisine, music, live band and light entertainment to spice it up as guests savour the beauty of the night while chatting and networking.

Amidst the celebration, the brain behind the Ugbor Road, GRA Benin City situated facility, Dr. Patrick Osagie Eholor spoke with the press.

On the factor that informed his involvement in the hospitality sector via the Le Patriot Country Home Hotel, he said:

“The idea is brought about by my desire to think outside the box, to do something different from what others have been doing. I acquired this property(the complex housing the facility) some 28 years ago. When I thought of creating job to ease the high rate of unemployment I decided to convert it to a hotel.”

Speaking on what makes the facility unique in relation to others in the acclaimed City of Bronze, Eholor said: “Le Patriot Country Home Hotel is a home away from home. It is a place where guests can come and have the best of times. Here what you get is similar to what is obtainable in your home environment. There is the pool, Jacuzzi, the greens etc. Just name it.

“Everything here is done in such a way to fit your taste for the good life. As they say, the taste of the pudding is in the eating. We promise you excellent service at all times.”

Eholor took a swipe at the government for not showing proactive attitude to investors in the scheme of things.

“It is unfortunate that the government do not care about the citizens. In an ideal society if you want to start a business the government support you by giving you a loan. This action shows that the government wants you to succeed.

“From the gains you make in the business you will pay taxes which helps the government in addressing welfare issues of the citizens.”
