Man arrested over alleged case of kidnap, abduction in Anambra

Chief Raphael Obidimma, popularly known as Odumodu Aguleri has been arrested for kidnap and illegal custody of children that do not belong to him.

Obidimma was arrested on Tuesday by men of Zone 13 Division of the Nigerian Police Command in Ukpo, Anambra State in his hometown of Aguleri.

According to sources, towards the end of March 2024, Mr Obidimma’s residence at Ugwu Uka, Aguleri was raided by the police and two boys, Michael and Melvin, ages 12 and 10 years old, were found locked up in the building.

These boys were said to be locked up without any adult supervision or presence of their parents.

Mr Raphael Obidimma has no relationship whatsoever with these kids, raising suspicion that he was either trafficking these kids or had plans to use them for rituals.

Suspect

The kids have been rescued and released to their family for proper care. As at the time filing this report, the said Obidimma was still in police custody, and calls put across to his two lines did not go through.
