MASSOB Denies Anti-Peter Obi Statement, Accuses Uwazuruike of Betraying Ojukwu

Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) under the leadership of Comrade Uchenna Madu have disassociated itself from a news publication made by one Chris Mocha, spokeperson of Ralph Uwazuruike led Biafra Independent Movement (BIM) alleging that MASSOB accused Mr Peter Obi and Rochas Okorocha as betrayals of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu.

According to MASSOB, ‘Ralph Uwazuruike should be ashamed of himself for referring to Mr Peter Obi and Owellle Rochas Okorocha as Ojukwu’s betrayers.

In a Press Release signed by its National Director of Information, Comrade Edeson Samuel, MASSOB argued “He has no right to call any Igbo man a betrayer because he is the real betrayer of all that Eze Igbo Gburugburu stood for in his quest for Igbo emancipation from Nigeria domination”.

The Release continues “MASSOB wondered if Uwazuruike of BIM has forgotten so soon how he collected money and organised a shameful and irresponsible political rally with hired persons in Owerri for declaring support fo the presidential ambition of Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello against his own brothers from Igbo land.

“MASSOB wish to remind Ralph Uwazuruike how he romanced and collected money from the former Governor of Imo state, Chief Ikedi Ohakim of PDP to support his bid for second term ambition against Rochas Okorocha of APGA during the 2011 gubernatorial election in Imo state. He ordered all members of MASSOB then to work for Ohakim but members supported APGA candidate because of Ojukwu philosophy.

“Ralph Uwazuruike betrayed Ndigbo in his shameless and open romance with political enemies of our people after many Biafran youths were murdered by Nigeria security agents because they were deceived and hypnotized by Ralph Uwazuruike in his merchandised Biafra agitation.

“MASSOB still have the records of how Uwazuruike betrayed the entire Biafra nation when he held meeting with Al Mustapha, Fredrick Fasheun, Asari Dokubo, Alhaji Yerima Sani, Alhaji Ibrahim Abacha etc, to stop further regional agitations for self determination at his house at Owerri.

“MASSOB also advised the leadership of Labour Party to verify statements relating to MASSOB before encountering us in a bad shape.

“MASSOB has never condemned or spoken evil of Labour Party or its presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi unless Labour Party is declaring political war on us. MASSOB shall resist them.
