Meet Mrs Pamela Emairu, top contender for Owan East Council chairmanship position

This is Mrs Pamela Archer Emairu, one of frontline aspirants gunning to lead the people of Owan East Local Government Council of Edo State as Chairman. 

 

A Health Education expert, Emairu has promised to bring in her background experience in her quest to make Owan East Local Government one of the best in Nigeria if elected to power.

 

A woman of substance, she hails from Ovbiomu Emai in Owan East, and was born into the family of late S.O. Emairu in Afugba Quarters.

 

She attended New Era College, Benin City from where she moved to the State School of Nursing and then the State School of Midwifery. She also attended the School of Health Technology, graduating with HND in Public Health Nursing.

 

Emairu proceeded to the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Science. Later at the University of Benin(UNIBEN), she obtained a BSC in Local Government Administration. She later obtained a Masters degree in Health Planning and Management.

 

Presently, the mother of three is awaiting her result in her PHD Health Financing and Budgeting programme at the University of Benin.

 

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) member had her political tutelage when she was appointed as Senior Special Assistant(SSA) to the Governor on Health Matters.
