Mohbad: Singer Naira Marley, Sam Larry Regain Released After Fulfilling Bail Conditions, Police Seize Passports

 

Azeez Fashola popularly known as Naira Marley and Balogun Samson known as Sam Larry on Friday regained their freedom from the police after they met their bail conditions.

 

The duo had spent over 30 days in prison in connection with the death of Naira Marley’s former signee, Ilerioluwa Aloba, aka Mohbad.

 

SaharaReporters had reported how a magistrate Court sitting in Yaba, Lagos State on the 4th of October, 2023 remanded Naira Marley, and Sam Larry, in police custody based on the plea of the police. But the court granted them bail on 6th November, 2023 in the sum of N20 million with three sureties.

 

Giving an update on the matter, the Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin on Friday said, “Naira Marley and Sammy Larry, having met their bail conditions, have been released.”

 

Hundeyin, a Superintendent of Police, made this known on Friday afternoon after the artiste and the socialite perfected their bail conditions granted by Justice Adeola Olatunbosun of the Lagos State Magistrates’ Court.

 

The judge on Monday, November 6 granted the duo bail in the sum of N20m with three responsible duties.

 

“As part of the bail conditions, the defendants are to surrender their passports and make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department,” Olatunbosun ruled.
