National Centre for Women Devt fixes date to celebrate 30th anniversary

The National Centre for Women Development will hold its 30th anniversary celebrations on Saturday, 17th December 2022.

According to a statement obtained from Mrs Mary Ikoku, a member of the Planning Committee, the event is billed to hold at the Auditorium of the National Centre for Women Development, Central Area opposite CBN, Abuja.

It will be an occasion to celebrate Nigeria’s women and their numerous contributions to the development of nation.

Distinguished Chairman for the occasion is Moji Makanjuola, MFR.

Mother of the Day will be Aisha Halilu Buhari, First Lady of Nigeria and wife of the President.

Other special guests expected include the Honourable Minister for Communications, Isa Ali Pantami, and the Honourable Minister for Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola.

Others are all female ministers and national assembly members, including Nkeiruka Chidubem Onyejocha, the lawmaker representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency of Abia State, all former first ladies, Barrister Mrs. Ngozi Ekeoma, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Nepal Oil and Gas Services Limited, Executive Director of NEXIM Bank, Hon. Stella Okotete, Nigeria’s foremost billionaire businesswoman and philanthropist, Folorunsho Alakija. and many others.

The National Centre for Women Development is Nigeria’s foremost establishment for gender research, training and documentation.

Chief Host for the event is the Honourable Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen while the Convener is the Director General of the Centre, Dr Asabe Vilita Bashir.
