A leading women rights advocate, Mrs Eberechukwu Anigbogu, has blasted the Buhari-led administration and accused it of causing the rising insecurity in Nsukka, Enugu State.

In a statement made available to Jungle-Journalist.Com on Tuesday, she accused the All Progressives Congress, APC of being responsible for the increasing insecurity in the state.

Recall that scores of students of the University of Nigeria Nsukka, UNN, were kidnapped last week while they were going back to school after months at home due to strike along Nsukka road. Also, a former Secretary to the Enugu State Government was kidnapped at same road.

Available data have indicted Fulani herdsmen as the abductors and linked the Generals Commanding Officers, GCOs, in Enugu to the dastard acts.

Responding to the overt State Government unwillingness to rise to responsibility, Mrs Anigbogu urged the people to defend themselves against Fulani attacks.

“I am sad,but what should be done now is to fight back.

“The infidels are at war with our people. We have equally become enemies to ourselves. We must fight back to recover our land or we all perish,” Anigbogu said.

Despite the existing Anti-open-grazing law in Enugu State which barred Fulani herdsmen from going in the open with their cows, the killer herders have continued not only to graze on farmlands but have continued to kill and rape in their host communities across the state.
