AWKA — A prominent member of the Board of Trustees of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Rommy Ezeonwuka has congratulated Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo on his reelection as Governor of Anambra State, describing the outcome as “a powerful reaffirmation of good governance and visionary leadership.”

In a statement issued on Saturday, Ezeonwuka said Governor Soludo’s victory at the polls was well-deserved, citing his administration’s performance over the past four years as a testament to his leadership capacity and commitment to the people of Anambra.

“Governor Soludo deserved his victory given his track record,” he said. “The people of Anambra have spoken with one voice, reaffirming their confidence in his ability to deliver on the promises of good governance.”

He commended the governor’s strides in infrastructure renewal, security enhancement, youth empowerment, and economic revitalisation through industrial expansion. According to him, the massive road construction projects, upgraded hospitals and schools, and decisive actions against insecurity have restored stability and hope across the state.

Tasking the governor to secure the state and chart the path of progress, he said, “With this second term, Anambra State must this time be cleansed of every negative energy against it. Positive cleansing must be done in Anambra so that those who deserted may return. The new government must be one that is inclusive of those with positive creativity, to encourage those who have done great for Anambra.

“It’s an all win for everybody since we are all Ndi Anambra, no contestant should be made to feel isolated in their quest to contribute to the progress of our dear state. Above all, abandoned corpses must be evacuated from mortuaries and given befitting burial. This is a very important assignment that will cleanse Anambra spiritually and transform our fortunes as the angels will return to Anambra and bless our land. It will also be a kudos to Soludo, and this move will make it an all-encompassing transformation of the state.

Lovers of Anambra should prepare to join Soludo and contribute their quota in the development of the state.”

The revered spiritual leader of the Igbo people, speaking in the capacity of his office as the Ogilisi Igbo also lauded Soludo’s support for local manufacturing and entrepreneurship, noting that such policies have positioned Anambra as a hub for innovation and business growth in the South-East.

“With this renewed mandate, the people have chosen continuity, stability, and progress,” he stated, while urging other contestants in the just-concluded election to accept the outcome in good faith and join hands with the governor in advancing the development of the state.

“In democracy, everyone wins when development is the collective agenda,” he added.

The spiritual leader recalled that he had blessed Governor Soludo prior to his first electoral victory in 2021, and offered fresh prayers for divine protection, wisdom, and greater success in the governor’s second term.

“As the spiritual leader of the Igbo people, I declare blessings of peace and progress upon this administration so that prosperity shall continue to flourish in our land,” he declared.

Ogilisi Igbo reaffirmed his commitment to the advancement of Anambra State and the preservation of Igbo cultural values, describing Soludo’s reelection as “another milestone for APGA’s legacy of service.”

He also expressed gratitude to the electorate for their overwhelming support, assuring them that the governor’s second term would surpass expectations. Our traditional festivals, marriages, events that made Anambra the number one State were moved outside due to insecurity, especially marriages. This second term, the goal is for our people who ran away to return and make our deserted communities flourish once again.

“The first term is just a tip of the iceberg. I can assure you all that our dear Governor will do even beyond your expectations,” he said.
