One Love Foundation condoles with Omoleye Sowore’s family over death of brother, decries FG’s attitude to insecurity

One Love Foundation, a Nigerian based human rights organization has comiserated with the publisher of Sahara Reporters, Comrade Omoleye Sowore.

In a Press Statement signed by its president, Chief Patrick Osagie Eholor, the death of Olajide Sowore was a very painful one:

“I heard the news of Olajide while at a hospital in Canada and I am in shock. This is one death too many. How many more Nigerians, young talents are we going to lose to herdsmen and kidnappers who have taken over our highways?

“How can we be fighting on all fronts at the same time? Nigerians have suffered in the hands of this government so much. The economy has since collapsed, our people are getting killed by unknown and known killers who the Federal Government have chosen not to prosecute, but begs and pampers and pardons them.

“The government chose to attack and kill our youths instead of protect them. From Biafra agitators to #EndSARS protesters, to Shites, the government has refused to reason with its disenchanted youth population but has always extended the hand of war.

“It is so sad that one of the major warriors of New Nigeria will fall victim by losing his one beloved brother, and that tells you what we are passing through. Omoleye my brother and Comrade, we at One Love Foundation feel pained at this devastating news. We are with you in your pains and pray that God will give you and your family the strength to bear this irreparable loss.

“Take heart, my dear brother”.

Chief Patrick Osagie Eholor, Ultimate Equals (Comrade), on behalf of
One Love Foundation.
