Ooni of Ife, commited to prosperity, unity, peace of Nigeria, says Dr Patrick Eholor as he visits royal father 

A chieftain of Labour Party and president of One Love Foundation, Chief Dr Patrick Osagie Eholor has said that the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi is commited to the unity, peace and prosperity of the Nigerian people.

 

Eholor stated this during a courtesy visit to the royal father at his royal palace in Ife, Osun State. The business mogul who was warmly recieved, sat with the Ooni, where they discussed issues bordering on the way forward for the country.

 

Speaking, Ooni prayed for the overall growth of Nigeria, and described the country as a young one passing through the trials and tests that will decide whether it will progress or perish.

 

His words “Nigeria has passed through its most trying times, and is still passing through such times. What is going on now will determine whether we will remain together as a stronger nation, or whether Nigeria will collapse. But I am happy to inform you that Nigeria cannot collapse, not with the men and women, and youths and children who have been raised into strong and resilient entities. People like you. I see a greater nation emerging and as a royal father, I pray for this nation to continue on its way to greatness#, he stated.

 

Responding, Eholor commended the Ooni for his words “I have come toddy to pay you this visit. Our nation is at a most trying time at this point. Our countrymen and women are searching for people like you who they look up to, and whatever you say means a lot to Nigerians across the globe. You have played noble roles as a royal fatter, even when some of us did not agree with you.

 

“I have known you, even before you ascended the throne, and you have always been an upright man, who have stood up for what is right, who have stood up for what is noble what is true, what is just. You have stood up for the good of the people around you, and now at the great throne of Ife, you have remained resolute as a man of truth. May the king reign forever! Ka bi ye si oooo!
