The Director General of Atikulated Agenda Worldwide Chief Emeka Kalu has said that Nigerians will vote for their conscience this time, and not sell their votes. Kalu stated this during a chat with Arise News.

He was speaking about the just concluded governorship elections at Osun, which he said Senator Adeleke would win, as he is the choice of the people.

Kalu also argued that Nigerians have suffered too much to allow themselves be ruled again by people who have nothing to offer.

Jungle-Journalist.Com monitored the interview.

His words “I will blame the government for the issue of vote buying in Nigeria. If you go to the international community, there is no issue of vote buying, rather than taking, it is the people that contribute to the campaigns. Having said that, if you look at what is going on in Osun State, there is better organisation and people are getting to vote the way they ought to.

“People are going to vote for their conscience. True, there are those who are going to collect money, but this is because there is hunger in the country.

“There are those who will collect but there are those who will refuse to collect that N4000, N5000 to sell their conscience. So this time, we are going to see green light at the end of the tunnel.

He also said “Unfortunately, Nigerian politics has been centred on godfatherism. Some people believe its this man, if not for him, nothing will go right.

“Until we begin to do politics the way it is done across the globe, when we begin to realize that the future of our people should not depend on one moneybag, people must begun to vote for who they believe and not let their hungers and needs determine their future. This is what we hope to see in Osun State this time around”.
