Otti predicts Obi would emerge victorious from legal process

Abia State Governor-elect, Dr. Alex Otti, said the legitimate process through which the presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi, will emerge as the President of Nigeria has started, and predicted that Obi’s administration will bring lasting change in every aspect of the country.

Otti, who is Abia State’s Labour Party Governor-elect, spoke, yesterday, during the 62nd Diocesan yearly Synod of St. James Methodist Church, Umuda, in Isingwu, Umuahia, the state capital.

He also noted that some people in the state will get disappointed with his administration, because of his vow not to share state funds with those he called “jobless stakeholders.”

Otti, who was in company of his wife, Priscilla; Iheanacho Obioma, ex-Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uche Ogah, and two Labour Party newly elected state Assembly members, Emeka Obioma and Ucheonye Steven, said: “I will not share state’s money to jobless stakeholders, which I know some people will be disappointed, because I would remain committed to serving the state selflessly, and providing dividends of democracy to the people.”

He expressed resolve, to return the state to God so that it can truly be God’s own state.

He said: “ The soul of this state was sold to the devil and, by God’s grace, we shall recover it and set it on the part of light and prosperity.

“It is not just about tenacity and consistency; it’s by the grace of God. Abia’s resources will be used for Abia people. The days of government extravagant spending is over. My administration will deploy state’s resources to develop the state. The first thing Abia needs is to return to God, so that it can truly be God’s Own State.”
