Poetry: Naij’Ocean Red

By Evelyn D’Poet Osagie, 26/8/21

When the ocean bleed
When rivers fry
When mountains cry
When Valleys sigh
Injustice on the rise

When men now fear to farm
When women no longer bathe
When children no longer play
When no place to hide
Madness”s unleashed before our eyes

When schools open without a soul
When the earth has lost its soul
When the rock without a stone
When the army’s without an arm
To your tent O’Naijairian

The time Naij’Ocean Red
