Governor Chukwuma Soludo has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to release the leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu as a condition for the return of peace to the South East region of the country.
Governor Soludo who made the demand at the National Campaign flag off of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in Awka also pledged to be the surety for Mr Kanu if released.
Prof. Soludo said the release of Nnamdi Kanu is the only non-kinetic solution to the insecurity in the South East.
