Rochas: It is a big insult to disobey the nation’s laws, resist arrest and even attack the police

Founder and president of One Love Foundation, Chief Patrick Eholor has lambasted Senator Rochas Okorocha for refusing to honour the invitation of the EFCC, and refuse to follow them when they came for his arrest.

Recall that men of the EFCC laid seige over Okorocha’s house, and were there for hours yesterday before they finally broke into the house and arrested the former Governor. Eholor in a message, said that the EFCC represents the nation and anyone defying their invitation deserves to be tried and jailed.

Hear him: “I am surprised, I am annoyed, and I am disappointed at the way and manner former Governor Rochas Okorocha conducted himself yesterday.

I am an advocate that governors should not be given immunity. The only person that deserves immunity perhaps, is the president. Giving them immunity would have been okay, so that they won’t be having so much opposition to help them focus and deliver the dividends of democracy to the citizens.

But, are they focused? Are they delivering the dividends to the citizens? No. So if these people are not delivering what they claim they are going to do constitutionally, they shouldn’t be given immunity.

Rochas Okorocha was accused of embezzling N2. 9 billion. He was a two two time governor, and a senator. I am an ordinary citizen. If the police invites me, or the EFCC, KGB, I will report there myself or I will report with my lawyer within the time frame. Why would Rochas Okorocha think that he is bigger than Nigeria? Nobody is bigger than Nigeria, not even President Muhammadu Buhari.

It is a shame that some people were using themselves as human shield for that Rochas Okorocha who left his state broke, who blew away the wealth of Imo State, and built mansions that he cannot live in, pools he cannot swim in, libraries for books he cannot read, is something wrong with Nigerians?

Are we all collectively stupid?

But I think the problem is with the Presidency who pardoned two governors who also bled their states.

And now the Accountant-General has been arrested for 84 billion naira, when ASUU is only looking for N18 billion.

Now there is a story coming out how the NNPC sold N4.8 million barrels has been stolen, and yet, the ordinary citizens cannot get fuel.

Okorocha, I feel very disappointed, very ashamed.. I think Rochas should be tried and jailed.

Also, the police’ action yesterday there was quite preposterous. How can they be shooting indiscriminately at people. It shows that the police have not learnt their lesson.

Though we all know that the EFCC is a charade and an idle wind which deserve no respect because of their antecedent’s which is there for all to see, but Rochas Okorocha should not have turned himself into a fugitive in his own house.

If he knows he’s clean and don’t have skeletons in his closets, he should have been bold enough to fling the doors open and I believe all that will be found in-there will only be cloths and beautiful shoes.
