Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State has described as fake news a publication stating that there is gold reserve in the state.
According to the publication, the reserve is over 20 million tonnes and worth $900 trillion.
Reacting, Soludo in a Facebook post said the source of the information was not credible.
He wrote, “My attention has been drawn to the above false information peddled across different social media platforms.
“Every letter of this piece is as fake and untrue as the unidentified writer who invested precious time to put together this fiction and published same, understandably so, in an uncredible medium.
“I urge the reading public to disregard this, and always stick to my verified handles or approved government channels for any information that bears my imprimatur.”
