Summon The Investigators Who Handled Tinubu’s Drug Case In US To Testify In Supreme Court – Igho Akeregha

Igho Akeregha, a journalist and political analyst has suggested a quick solution for the ruling of Labour Party’s presidential election petition.

In an interview on AIT, he stated that a subpoena can be sent to the investigators who handled Tinubu’s drug case in the United States to testify before the Nigerian supreme court. He believes that this will allow the court to preside over the matter within a few weeks.

Akeregha emphasized that Tinubu’s conviction for drug-related crime in the US was not disputed, and even the Bayo Onanuga, a representative of the ruling party, agreed to it. He further added that the Nigerian law specifies that one can run for an election with the effusion of time, probably after 10 years, which Tinubu has completed. Hence, it is time for the supreme court to take action.

By bringing in the investigators who handled the drug case in the US, the supreme court can speed up the ruling process. This will allow them to focus on the alleged double nomination aspect of the petition. Akeregha’s solution aims to resolve the matter quickly and efficiently.
