Testimony Time: Beneficiary thanks Gov Ugwuanyi for training her in improved rice farming methods

A beneficiary from one of the Enugu State agricultural development programmes, Mrs Kate Chukwuegbo has expressed gratitude to the state governor, Dr Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for the training she recieved.

Mrs Chukwuegbo stormed the country home of Engr Mike Ogbuekwe, the Adviser on Agriculture to Enugu State Governor, to send her appreciation to the Governor.

She told Ogbuekwe, who hails from the same town as herself that she had visited to pass a message of gratitude to the Governor.

Mrs Chukwuegbo thanked Gov Ugwuanyi for taking her from the village and sending her to a training program in Niger State through the Value Chain Development Programme/International Fund for Agricultural Development (VCDP/IFAD) agricultural program.

She thanked the IFAD/VCDP program and also Engr Mike Ogbuekwe for paying attention to the needs of farmers in the community, saying that the program will help her double the yield from her rice farm and make her earn more income.

According to Mrs Chukwuegbo, the methods learned included rice nurseries, transplanting, straight-line farming, organic fertilizers and applications.
