UZO-UWANI: Ada Biafra thanks Peter Mbah, Ezeugwu for security measures to protect community

Human rights defender and social critic, Comrade Eberechukwu Anigbogu has commended Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State for the efforts he has put in to combat gunmen, kidnappers and herdsmen terrorizing Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area for some time now.

Following the incessant attacks on farmers and community dwellers in the area, the governor deployed security personnel, patrol vehicles and weapons to protect the people across the local government area. As a result, there has been a drastic reduction in the spate of attacks and insecurity in the zone.

Anigbogu, better known as Ada Biafra who hails from the area, has issued a statement to express her heartfelt gratitude to the Governor for taking such proactive steps to protect the entire people of Uzo-Uwani.

Her words, “I am elated to identify His Excellency, Dr Peter Mbah, as my governor. Just a few weeks ago, when there was a major attack on my people, we cried out, and I didn’t know that the Governor was taking note and preparing for action. Today, I can proudly say that Peter Mbah is a listening governor, a silent action man who takes the welfare of the people as a top priority.

“Our fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters in the village will no more live in fear. We can now confidently go to our farms, do our work and harvest our crops without fear of attacks. This is unprecedented and I must say that Enugu State is lucky to have him as our dear Governor. I will go home and tell my people that what they are hearing about Governor Peter Mbah is true, he truly loves our people. My able governor, thank you. Chukwu gọzie gị. Tomorrow is here!”, she stated.

Also speaking on measures taken to curb insecurity in Uzo-Uwani, Ada Biafra also expressed joy at measures being taken by the Local Government Chairman Barr. Chijioke Ezugwu to ensure that the efforts of the governor meet tremendous success. It should be noted that Barr Ezugwu has recently deployed graders and caterpillars across the area to expand the roads, open up the forests and destroy the hideouts of the kidnappers and criminals terrorizing the people. The work Jungle-Journalist.Com learnt has reached an advanced stage.

Speaking, she stated, “I must also commend my brother, Barrister Chijioke, who is the local government chairman, for what he has done so far about the insecurity. He has taken serious action to complement what our governor is doing, and the results are very pleasant. The hideouts of the criminals killing our people are quickly disappearing, their dens are getting destroyed and very soon, Uzo Uwani will be completely free of criminals.

“I want to thank you, my capacity Chairman for the lovely work you are doing. Indeed, the governor didn’t make a mistake when he chose you to represent our people. When good men and women are in power, there is peace across the land. Thank you so much for your efforts. Daalụ!”, she concluded.
