VIDEO: Rivers Govt knocks down House of Assembly, relocates sitting to Government House

 

The Rivers State government has begun demolition of the Rivers State House of Assembly complex. Videos seen online show about seven excavators demolishing the building.

 

In the meantime, reports also say the 10th Rivers State House of Assembly has been relocated to the government House in Port Harcourt as an alternative seating venue following the ongoing demolition of the State House of Assembly Complex.

 

According to the report, the Edison Ehie-led House of Assembly is already sitting and deliberating on some bills. The report also said the Member representing OPobo/Nkoro State Constituency, Adolphus Timothy Orubi-enimigha has been elected as the Leader of the Edison Ehie-led Assembly.
