LANDMASS.
The South-East geopolitical zone has an approximate landmass of 29,525km² which made it the smallest out of the remaining 5 geopolitical zones in Nigeria
- Anambra (4,844 km²)
- Imo State (5,530 km²)
- Ebonyi State (5,670 km²)
- Abia State (6,320 km²)
- Enugu State (7,161 km²) PROPOSED STATES FOR SOUTH-EAST GEOPOLITICALZONE 1. ANIM STATE . This is a state to be created by carving out some parts of Anambra and Imo States.

Anambra (4,844km²) and Imo (5,530km²) states are the least in terms of landmass, so carving out from both states will make the landmass of both Anambra and Imo to reduce and the proposed Anim will also be amongst the smallest and this will make Imo and Anambra no more viable to be state.
- ADADA STATE . This is a state proposed to be created by carving out parts of Enugu and Ebonyi with parts of Kogi state to be added through boundary adjustments.

Enugu State (7,161km²) is the higest and Ebonyi (5,670km²) is amongst the least in terms of landmass, so carving out from both states will make the landmass of both Enugu and Ebonyi to reduce and the proposed Adada State will also be amongst the smallest and this will make Ebonyi no more viable to be a state.
- ANIOMA STATE . This is a state proposed to be created by carving out parts of Delta State with parts of Edo state to be added through boundary adjustments.

Anioma State (6,500km²) including Igbanke in part of Edo State, will be added to South-East, a great addition that will increase the already existing landmass of about 29,525 km² to about 35,525km².
Going by the four cardinal points, every geographical political arrangement should be done fairly since the geopolitical zones are not the definition of ethnicity or tribes.
In the entire Southern Nigeria, South-East is not just the lowest in the numbers of states, it is also the least in terms of landmass, it is also least in Federal Government monthly allocation (FAAC), it is also least in Population
So Anioma State is what the South-East geopolitical zone needs now. Every other agitation from inside the South-East should be stopped immediately. All true births of Igbo must rise to the occasion and support the creation of Anioma State.
