Frontline lawyer and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Elder Abejide Ocheja has stated that the suspension action carried out by the party on Senator Chimaroke Nnamani has revealed the zero electoral value placed on the former governor by the party.
According to Ocheja who spoke with journalists in his Abuja office earlier today, Nnamani presently is a nobody, and does not amount to even paper-weight in PDP, hence the suspension.
In his argument, the statesman queried “Is Chimaroke the only one who engaged in anti-party activities? But he is the only one who has no value, no one needs him in the party. As a matter of fact, he is the one who needs the PDP to win election. Unfortunately for him, the gate has finally closed in him.
Hear the legal luminary: “As you already know, our great party has been undergoing a lot of tussles this season, with several members openly challenging the party and playing roles in other parties. Look at the case of the G5 governors. They have formed a union, and continued to challenge my party to take action against them, yet no action because of the towering influence these governors have.
“But look at the case of my dear brother and Senator from Enugu State, Dr Chimaroke Nnamani. He has been openly campaigning for Bola Ahmed Tinubu since, believing he still has value. I heard that back in his state, he has a group called Ebeano, which he believed equates that of the G5. He doesn’t know that G5 is actually 5G, a new network in the party.
“By lumping a whole former governor with regular party members and suspending them.all together, PDP has shown that Nnamani is expired drug that will poison anyone who follows him. With this, he has become an outcast in the party, and anyone still working with him faces the danger of also being suspended by PDP. It shows he cannot garner votes for anybody, he cannot win elections, he cannot mobilise votes anywhere.
“Senator Chimaroke Nnamani has become a leper and whoever goes near him will be infected. By supporting Tinubu, he has just burnt his Senatorial ambition to ashes”.
