I, Prof Gregory Ibe, the Abia state governorship candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the 2023 election, extend my warmest congratulations to Barr Sly Ezeokenwa on his validation by the Supreme Court as the authentic National Chairman of our great party.
The Supreme Court’s landmark reaffirmation of Barr Ezeokenwa as the validly elected National Chairman is a testament to the authenticity of the National Convention that produced him as leader of the National Working Committee of APGA last year. I therefore commend the judiciary for being the last hope of the common man and for upholding the truth.
I urge Chief Edozie Njoku to refrain from further actions that could factionalize our party and instead embrace this moment as an opportunity for rebuilding, strengthening, and repositioning our party for greater exploits in future elections.
In these challenging times, APGA must seize this moment to reinvent herself and present a credible platform for providing better political leadership. I enjoin Barr Ezeokenwa to be magnanimous in victory by reaching out to Chief Njoku and exploring avenues for healing through the establishment of a national peace and reconciliation committee.
I call on all APGA faithful across the nation to support the Barr Ezeokenwa-led National Working Committee in ensuring the emergence of a people-centric political platform that could subsequently lead to the emergence of a true people-driven Nigerian government, as envisioned by our party’s founding fathers.
Once again, congratulations to Barr Sly Ezeokenwa on this well-deserved validation. May this milestone mark the beginning of a new era of growth and success for APGA.
