The Russian national football team will play friendly matches against Zambia, Nigeria and Belarus this year, the Russian Football Union said.
Russia will take the field against Zambia in March in Moscow. On June 6, it will take on Nigeria, also at home. On June 10, the Russian national team will play away against Belarus.
In 2024, the Russian national team played five friendly matches, including three at home. The Russian team beat Serbia (4:0), Belarus (4:0), Vietnam (3:0), Brunei (11:0) and Syria (4:0). A scheduled match in Hanoi against Thailand was canceled due to bad weather.
Since 2022, the Russian national team has been banned from participating in tournaments of the International Football Federation and the Union of European Football Associations.
