Arrangements have been concluded for the first
anniversary coronation celebration of Eze Aro of
Arochukwu Kingdom, His Eminence, Engr. Eberechukwu Oji.
On October 18, 2023, Engr. Dr Eberechukwu Oji was
chosen as the 9th Eze Aro of Arochukwu, having been
certified by the kingmakers as fit and suitable to lead the ancient kingdom. Thus, he was duly recognised by the Abia State Government, which issued him a Certificate of Recognition
and Staff of Office on January 26, 2024, authenticating his
selection and crowning as Eze Aro XI of Arochukwu
Kingdom, a First Class monarch.
His ascension to the throne was marked with a world-class ceremony in July 2024.
Abia State governor, Dr Alex Otti, traditional rulers,
captains of industry, academics and foreign nationals are billed to attend this anniversary event slated for July 26, 2025.
Organised by Nzuko Arochukwu Worldwide in
conjunction with the Royal family, the celebrations span
four days of merrymaking, strategic engagements and
thankfulness to God for the peace and development that
the ancient kingdom has witnessed in the last one year.
Understandably, Nzuko Arochukwu has structured the celebrations in the format of a carnival, leveraging aggregate commitment of the star-studded Central
Planning Committee chaired by Engr. Obi Chijioke.
The anniversary celebration is anchored on the theme “Aro Renaissance: Consolidating Gains and Charting New Frontiers for Aro Kingdom Unity, Peace and Development”.
By this theme, the
leadership of Nzuko Aro is – literally speaking – using one
stone to kill two birds by staging a twin carnival -the anniversary coronation celebration of its first class monarch, and the 6th All Aro National Conference (AANC).
The celebration kicks off July 24 with an Open Air
Crusade and Medical Outreach to be held at the Aggrey Primary School, Ibom Village.
At it, attendees will offer collective prayers to God for His Grace and blessings on Arochukwu Kingdom, and
specifically the Royal family of His Eminence, for the past one year.

The All Aro National Conference (AANC) aimed at “Repositioning Aro Diaspora Relationships for Peace,
Unity and Development” is scheduled to hold on Friday,
July 25, at the Aro Civic Centre, Oror Village. It will be chaired by Mazi Dr Innocent Ozoemena Ezuma, the Mayor of Arondizuogu.
The day’s official activities will be rounded off with
Coronation Anniversary Dinner hosted by Nzuko Aro at the exquisite Alpha Plus Hotel and Suites, Amuvi Village.
His Eminence, focused on his vision for the kingdom,
will inaugurate different committees including those for road infrastructure, water project, environmental
management, agriculture and food security, as well as
sports development.
The activities will climax on Saturday, July 26, 2025, with the Coronation Anniversary Celebration, when the
Abia State governor, Dr Alex Chioma Otti, is expected as the Special Guest of Honour.
