Former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has congratulated His Royal Majesty, Engr Eberechukwu Oji over his emergence as the 9th Eze Aro of Arochukwu Kingdom.
In a letter dated 11th December 2023, and personally signed by him, the statesman expressed joy at Oji’s emergence, which he described as ‘an epoch-making event of great significance to the entire Aros now, and in future generations’.
He also stated that the engineer’s emergence is an act of God, and prayed that his reign be one that would bring ‘benefits of enlightened and godly leadership’, wishing the king the ‘blessings of good health, long life, wisdom and loyal counsellors to discharge the onerous responsibilities of your exalted office’.
The former President also hinted on plans to hit Arochukwu Kingdom for the coronation.
The statement read in parts “It is with the most sincere pleasure that I write, on behalf of my family and on my own behalf, to convey our hearty congratulations to you and the entire people of Arochukwu Kingdom on the joyous occasion of your upcoming coronation as Eze Aro of Arochukwu Kingdom on December 26, 2023.
“Your ascension to the throne is an epoch-making event of great significance not only to yourself and your family but to the entire community and future generations of Arochukwu Kingdom.
“God has placed on you in a singular position of authority and influence to give to your people the benefits of enlightened and godly leadership. We pray that the Almighty will bless you with good health,long life, wisdom and loyal counsellors to discharge the onerous responsibilities of your exalted office. May your reign be remarkable for the peace and prosperity that it brings to your people”, it stated.
