
Music maestro Mr Chinedu Okoli, popularly known as Flavour Nabania, was one of the thrills witnessed by the Arochukwu people during the Aro Day Celebration, which took place on December 26, 2024.
The “Ada Ada” crooner, who was invited by Governor Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, captivated the audience with a selection of his hit songs, much to the delight of residents and guests attending the celebration.
During the event, Flavour expressed his gratitude to Governor Otti for the invitation and his contributions to the state.
The Governor, while praising Flavour’s performance, shared his admiration for the singer, noting that he had invited him to the event months earlier and was pleased that Flavour confirmed his participation in Aro Day.

Governor Otti also revealed that the popular “Big Baller” singer performed pro bono, fulfilling a promise to attend the event without charging for his appearance.
The celebration attracted numerous notable personalities and featured cultural performances by Ekpes and other local cultural groups in the community.
The event took place at the grounds of the Arochukwu Civic Centre and was hosted by Engr Dr Eberechukwu Oji, the Eze Aro of Arochukwu Kingdom.
Addressing the crowd, the Eze Aro urged the sons and daughters of Arochukwu to unite in developing the community through their resourcefulness and resilience.
“Join hands with me and Ndi Eze Ogo, Eze Ibom Isii and Eze Agwu. Let’s unite and develop our community. Let’s utilize the individual opportunities we have to serve our people.

“Offer yourself to serve. The Kingdom needs you more than you need it.”
In his speech titled ‘Illuminating the Aro Spirit,’ Eze Eberechukwu Oji expressed happiness at hosting Aro Day 2024, his first since ascending to the throne of his forefathers.
A special guest at the event was the executive governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Otti, who also said that his government is introducing a new compensation package for teachers aimed at revitalizing the education sector and encouraging educators to return to the classroom.

The governor also expressed his commitment to making education accessible to everyone. He revealed that 20 per cent of the 2025 budget, which he plans to sign on Friday, December 27, 2024, is allocated to education, while a whopping 50 per cent is designated for healthcare.
The highlight of the event was the conferment of awards on 78 sons and daughters of the community.
