An investigative team from Force CID, Abuja yesterday sealed off property belonging to Ranent Industries Limited, Oba.
According to eye witness reports, the property, which was initially sealed off by court order against Tansian University intruders, a certain Innocent Ukeh had stormed the property with over 50 unauthorised Navy personnel. They had tried to force open the property.
According to the Navy personnel, whose actions were halted by the Officers from Force CID who intervened, they were informed that the place was closed and camped men of the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB.
Our reporter was reliably informed that Ukeh was working in connivance with Rev Fr Edwin Obiora, who has been responsible for the conflict raging between Ranent Properties and Tansian University.
Our informant said “Father Edwin Obiora was trying to break into private property of Ranent Industries, Oba, by using unathorised naval personnel. The naval personnel were over 50, with heavy guns, surrounding the gates and tried to force themselves into the property.
“But with the intervention of the Investigative team, they were able to control the situation. The Navy personnel opened up that Innocent Ukeh told them lies that the place was used to camp IPOB people, that some people were locked up inside.
Following the development, the unauthorised Navy personnel withdrew, while the men from the CID Abuja again sealed off the property from any intrusion.
Reacting over the incident, Chief Rommy Ezeonwuka, Chairman of Ranent Industries Limited told our reporter “The situation is now under control. I want to use this opportunity to warn parents to withdraw their children from the property of Ranent Industries, where the hawks claiming to be owners of Tansian University want them to bring their children to suffer. My property was used to get the university’s licence, so logically speaking, I should even be claiming to be the owner of Tansian University.
“But we had something called terms of settlement, which I was asked to allow Rev Fr Johnbosco to own the university. Let me take back my property, and he should be paying rent. After some time, they will go to the permanent site. He was paying the rent, continued paying the rent, until one Father Obiora told him to stop paying the rent again, that he will reverse the consent judgment.
“They tried and tried and failed. Finally, I got a court order to sack them and recover my money. By now they owe me 80 million naira. That’s why I secured my property. But innocent Ukeh, with courtesy of Obiora are boasting and taking money from parents of students. They think they can use money to bribe the Navy, police or army to force themselves into my property.
“But as father in Igbo land, I am telling the NUC to withdraw hosting of students in Oba campus as the owner of the property has now taken back his hard earned property. The people hustling for the university are hawks. I don’t know them, I didn’t enter into agreement with them. The person me and him suffered to get the university is Fr Johnbosco, and by the time we fight ownership and came above ownership, we trashed issues of buying or no buying, purchase or no purchase of my property and came into terms of agreement where I was told to allow Johnbosco own the university. And they have been paying bills until that Obiora came and told them to stop it. He tried to reverse it and has been trying to ruin the future of the university.
“Furthermore, I am telling the governor to ensure that a man with shady character like innocent Ukeh does not stay in Anambra. The man is misleading the people, misleading the Cardinal, misleading the church and trying to forge things that don’t belong to him. He is a forger”, he stated.
DISCLAIMER—There Is No IPOB People Or Any Other People Camped In Ranent Properties Oba
The rumour being perpetrated by Innocent Ukeh and Fr Obiora that IPOB are camped at Ranent Properties are all fallacious and fabricated lies.
They told Zone 13 that somebody was locked up in Ranent, and Zone 13 told them, come let us go, and they refused. Zone 13 told them that they are liars. When we entered into the compound, we knocked on all the rooms and nobody was discovered. What Innocent Ukeh and Fr Obiora are doing is to be criminal fabricators of lies, to deceive the general public, hiding under the Catholic Church.
I am asking the Catholic family to investigate these people, because they are bringing bad omen to Catholicism. By their behaviours, they are not true Catholics.
They embed themselves in lies. Fr Obiora is fabricating and stealing peoples’ businesses, Innocent is claiming to be a reverend whereas he was suspended and he is nothing.
Now, these two people build themselves and select hawks, and are trying to claim the ownership of Tansian University. The luck they have is, by terms of agreement signed by myself and Rev Fr Johnbosco Akam, who myself and he got the university, I removed myself from the ownership of the university and took back my property. If not, it is myself and Johnbosco that are known in NUC as the owners of Tansian University.
That’s why when we fought a war under Ogidi High Court, Suit No HID/89/2008, where Johnbosco was claiming the ownership of the university alone, and I was claiming the co-ownership of the university, the court held that Johnbosco was telling lies. Johnbosco confessed that he did not buy my property, so now we arrived at Terms of Settlement, which we were given an order as Consent Judgment, where I relinquished the co-ownership of the school, and Johnbosco relinquished ownership of my property.
We worked out how they will be paying and the years they will stay and get out of my property. They were paying for 1,2,3,4,5,6 years, until a priest ran from America and told Johnbosco he is going to reverse Consent Judgment and that is a Waterloo. He hid under the Catholic Church to be doing this thing. So I am telling my Catholic Family to be careful, and I am asking the governor of Anambra State, to strike some of these people that hide in the cassoc to perpetrate evil in Anambra State.
When we want to say, ‘Soludo for Solution’, he has to go into solution to extract criminals that hide under native doctors, under traditional rulers, under clergymen to perpetrate evil in Anambra State. I am making it boldly, that it is false, the information that Innocent is giving that IPOB is camped in Ranent Properties. The day I sealed the property, I didn’t see any people or person there, and it is under seal, but today, he tried to use force to open the place.
Eventually, Force Headquarters, IG boys were there on time and stopped them. Now the place is sealed under the Investigative Team from Force CID, Abuja. So this is a diaclaimer that there is no iota of truth in that wicked story.
